What is AAUG?
  • The Austin AutoCAD User Group is an association of professionals interested in Autodesk design software products. It is an independent organization following the guidelines of AUGI. Membership is open and free to anyone interested in learning more about Autodesk design software.

So what's AUGI?

  • AUGI is the Autodesk User Group International. Autodesk officially recognizes the organization as representing the Autodesk products’ user base. AUGI has two prime directives. The first is to assist the membership by presenting programs and information that will enhance their use of the Autodesk products. The second is to deliver the voice of the user base to Autodesk thus assisting Autodesk in their plans for their products and giving the users a say in the process.

How do I join AAUG?

  • Easy! Just register, then show up at a free meeting! There's no dues or costs, no responsibilities. Just learn and benefit from great technical presentations.

When do you meet?

  • We announce our quarterly meeting dates on this web site and send mail and email  notices. Use the Feed Back form to get on our mailing list.

What are your local meetings like?

  • We generally meet at a local restaurant for lunch or dinner. Most meetings have two or three presentations - a new product demo and a tutorial or two.  The meal expenses are paid for by our corporate sponsor. We strive to provide an "action-packed" agenda since we know your time is valuable. We minimize the chit-chat and fill the time with multiple technical presentations designed to provide you with useful information. The presentations are by software experts - people who know a lot about the product or features they are discussing. Having sampled other user group meetings around the country, we believe ours is among the finest.

Do I have to own AutoCAD to attend?

  • Absolutely not! Anyone interested in learning more about the world's most popular computer-aided-design-and-drafting software is welcome.
